Technical Faculty: This faculty created the main core of Tehran Polytechnic and was formed from 6 institutes or educational groups under the title of electric and electronic engineering, chemical and petrochemical engineering, textile and polymer engineering, mechanical engineering, mining engineering and industrial engineering. Faculty of Technical and Scientific Education: It was established in 1355 with the cooperation of the Ministry of Education.

Faculty of Basic Sciences and Computers: This faculty was established to provide basic courses to students of other faculties. The students of these courses did not receive a degree from the faculty.

Institute of Further Education and Research: It was established to administer and supervise the master’s degree and research affairs of the university. At that time, 5 master courses and a research institute named “Food Industry Research Center” were managed under the supervision of this institute.
The supervision of the High School of Road and Construction was assigned to Tehran Polytechnic since 1356, and in this way, this unit was considered as the fifth department of Tehran Polytechnic. During the Islamic Revolution, Tehran Polytechnic was one of the active academic bases and played an active role in bringing the Islamic Revolution to fruition.

Creation of new faculties and courses, especially postgraduate courses, which led to the establishment of 6 new faculties during the years 1367-1374.
